This course will provide a concise overview of the characteristics of Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), and then will briefly review the recommendations from the 2020 Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) for DCD. Following these reviews, the speaker will provide an update on research that is new in the area of DCD intervention since the publication of the CPG. The interactive session will focus on highly recommended interventions such as CO-OP, functional task training and movement imagery. Special attention will be paid to the use of dual-task training strategies tailored to children with DCD.
