Lorrie is a retired physical therapist/faculty member with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences, College of Allied Health, with a PhD in Special Education. Her clinical, teaching and research activities involve helping adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities remain healthy, well, and active in their communities as they age. She consults with state agencies such as Partners in Policy in the area of assistive technology. She is past chair and current secretary of the AADA SIG, past Region VII representative, as well as former OK State liaison for the Academy. Lorrie continues to promote inclusion of self-advocates in teaching/research.
