Kim Ingraham, PhD is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington. Her interdisciplinary research program focuses on the personalized control and evaluation of assistive robots that support human mobility. Dr. Ingraham recently co-led a study assessing powered mobility use by toddlers with disabilities. Her particular expertise related to this project lies in examining the neuromechanics of powered mobility use and quantifying toddler-device interactions. Her overall goal is to understand how children learn to use powered mobility, and how access to these devices from a young age can benefit their development.
