Eileen Gillan, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist, Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist, and current PhD student in Rehabilitation Sciences, under the mentorship of Dr. Elise Townsend, PT, DPT, PhD at the MGH Institute of Health Professions (Charlestown, MA). Eileen joins Dr. Townsend’s ongoing lines of research into the development and validation of outcome measures in rare pediatric neurogenetic diseases to support the investigation of clinical change in response to novel gene therapies. Eileen practices clinically in the acute care setting, with expertise in the care of neurologically complex children and neonates in both intensive care and step-down units.
