Dr. Catherine (Kate) Andrea is an Assistant Professor at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, FL. In 2013, Dr. Andrea earned her Board Certification as a Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy and in 2018, she earned her Board Certification as a Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy. Most recently, she became a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator® (CHSE®). Her research focuses on active learning strategies for healthcare students, interprofessional collaboration in the classroom, the use of simulation as a teaching and learning tool, and effective intervention strategies for children with participation restrictions.
