Nia Irene Toomer-Mensah, PT, DPT, PhD advocates for children with disabilities and has worked in pediatrics for over 18 years. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Hybrid DPT pathway. She serves as a faculty member within the Long Island University Brooklyn DPT Program. Her interests include physical activity, aquatic therapy, neuroplasticity, movement analysis, motor skill acquisition, early CP detection, and interventions for non-ambulatory children. Dr. Mensah is a Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist. Her achievements include international medical outreach to underserved communities in developing nations. She earned her PhD from Teachers College Columbia University in Kinesiology.
